2003 | 2 Weeks | 6 Cities | 360 Youths
Five Arts Centre & British Council Malaysia
ADA APA? is a project to engage youth in discussions through the arts on the issue of Identity.
A touring group of 12 young facilitators (6 Malaysians with 6 UK-based counterparts) will travel to 6 different cities and towns in Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Bahru, Johor Baru, Seremban, and Malacca – over a 2-week period, holding 10-hour sessions with 60 young people in each place, aged 16-19 years.
The importance placed on the ‘traveling’ nature of the event is to generate dialogue from the participants about issues affecting young people in the specific contexts in their cities/towns.

"Ada apa?" can be translated as "What's up?". If I remember correctly, the title is adapted from the movie "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (2003)". A popular Indonesian movie by Rudy Soedjarwo
